I guess as a business????

For my catering, I figure 3 xs the cost of the food just for the food…then Xs4 if I have to deliver and set it up. If the drive time is more than 10 minutes, then it is relevent to the amount of gas used. Of course you can just add a flat rate for delivery fee because fuel has gone up so much.

Question by cocoloco: can anyone give me advice on starting a gourmet/specialty foods store business?
does anyone have experience in the gourmet foods business that can give me some advice. I am looking to either buy into an existing business, or start from scratch. It would be a small store selling hard to find foods, gourmet foods, and imported foods. I was also thinking of doing light catering on the side with foods from the store. Can anyone give me advice regarding location, potential start up costs, how to import food ( like candy and cookies) and anything else that goes along with this type of business? Thank you

Make sure you know everything there is to know about the different products you will have, People can come up with a lot of crazy questions about them sometimes. Keep up with all new products coming out.
Make sure you have all licenses dealing with food handling up to date.
